KETIK, MALANG – Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (UIN Maliki Malang), through its Career Development Center (CDC), has partnered with Swiss-based technology company JANZZ Ltd to strengthen graduate employability and prepare students for an increasingly competitive global labour market.
The partnership was formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday, November 5, 2026, with Ahmad Ghozi, Head of the university’s Career Development Center, representing UIN Maliki Malang.
JANZZ Ltd was represented by its CEO, Stefan Winzenried, who travelled from Zurich, Switzerland, accompanied by Hesti Aryani, Director of PT JANZZ Teknologi Indonesia, and members of the Indonesian team.
The collaboration focuses on aligning graduates’ competencies with labour market demands while accelerating employment opportunities, particularly for final-year students.
As an immediate benefit, JANZZ Ltd and UIN Maliki Malang’s CDC are providing free registration to the JANZZ platform for students attending the workshop, giving them access to technology-based career and employment services.
The workshop attracted approximately 160 registered students from various study programmes across the university, reflecting growing interest in international career opportunities and professional development.

This workshop is moderated by Ulfah Muhayani, MPP, Ph.D., featured Stefan and Hesti, who shared insights into domestic and overseas employment opportunities, alongside the professional competencies needed to navigate an increasingly interconnected labour market.
Both speakers emphasised that academic qualifications and technical expertise alone are no longer sufficient to secure employment in the global workplace.
Language proficiency, they noted, is a fundamental gateway for those seeking careers abroad, enabling effective communication across different linguistic and cultural environments.
They also highlighted the importance of professional ethics, or workplace ethics, including integrity, discipline, responsibility and respect for cultural differences. These qualities, they stressed, are essential for building trust and adapting to multicultural working environments.
The programme also offered practical career assistance through individual CV coaching sessions led by Lina Yulianti, a member of the JANZZ team.
Students received direct guidance on preparing and improving their CVs to meet professional recruitment standards and better communicate their qualifications to prospective employers.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Zurich, JANZZ Ltd specialises in artificial intelligence-powered semantic search and matching technologies, occupational classification and multilingual skills ontologies.
Its solutions, including JANZZ.jobs and JANZZparser!, support recruitment and workforce management for businesses, governments and employment institutions.
Ahmad Ghozi stated that this partnership marks a step forward for the Career Development Center in providing conventional career information services.
According to him, by connecting students to international employment technologies, professional training, and industry expertise, UIN Malang will strengthen the transition from higher education to the workforce.
"For UIN Maliki Malang, the partnership marks a step towards expanding the role of its Career Development Center beyond conventional career information services," Ahmad Ghozi said.
"By connecting students with international employment technologies, professional coaching and industry expertise, the university aims to strengthen the transition from higher education to the workplace," he added.
The initiative reflects a broader recognition that graduate employability depends not only on academic achievement but also on digital literacy, communication skills, adaptability and professional ethics.
Through this collaboration, UIN Maliki Malang seeks to equip its graduates with the competencies and confidence to pursue career opportunities both in Indonesia and internationally.(*)
